How to use the Pointer feature
This feature is only available in the professional version of JivoChat.
We offer a very useful feature in our JivoChat operator app. The Indicator can help you highlight a specific part of your website, add a comment to the highlighted area, and send it to the customer in the chat so they can see the area you want to point out along with your comment.
Here’s how it works:
While in a conversation, click on the icon shown in the image below to open the Indicator feature.
A copy (not a mirror) of the page the visitor is currently on will open in your app. Click the "Highlight an area" button.
Note that your site must have an HTTPS security certificate and allow external iframe loading for the feature to work properly. Check with your developer or IT team to ensure your site is compatible with the Indicator feature.
Select the area you want to highlight, add a comment, and click "Send."
After sending, you will see a message similar to the one shown below in your JivoChat app.
From the visitor/customer's side, they will see a message like the one shown below in the chat widget on your website.
When the visitor/customer clicks "View," the area you selected will be highlighted, and your comment will be displayed as shown in the image below.
